I will literally never understand why people complain about salons that charge extra for toners and glazes. Salons that don’t charge for that DO NOT exist. It usually takes up at least an additional 15-30 minutes of time if the stylist uses the product correctly, and that’s more product that the salon has to use. Why is it so hard for people to understand that you’re not just paying for products that the stylist uses, but also TIME? Ugh, I could seriously rant about this all day long. Do not even get me started on blow dries oh my god

I think the most irritating thing ever is being completely ignored and pushed away from people that you used to be really close with, and not even knowing why.

Last week, I was talking to someone about my (completely rational) fear of rape. She said, “You’re not going to get raped. You just have to know how to protect yourself.” I get the idea of self-defense and all that, and I’m not saying that someone shouldn’t take those precautions. But at the same time, my immediate thought was, “so the people who get raped are victims because they failed to protect themselves?” I hate to be that annoying person who has an answer for everything, but that’s really how it comes off when people say things like that. Rape doesn’t happen to someone because they didn’t protect themselves. It’s not their fault. I am so done with hearing about how it is. THAT is half of the reason why rape terrifies me. The physical and emotional damage it must do to the victims is bad enough - but then they have to deal with the aftermath of everyone around them telling them what they should’ve done to avoid that and how it was partially their fault. That is bullshit.
